UAL Loads Breakbulk for East Africa

This week Mv Andesborg was seen loading in the UK and Moerdijk, the Netherlands for its first East Africa Express service.

Currently, the Andesborg is preparing for her first departure on UAL’s new service to Kenya and Mozambique.

Recently, Royal Wagenborg and Universal Africa Lines (UAL) closed a time charter contract for the MV Andesborg. This A-class vessel will sail for UAL on a direct service between North West Europe and Mozambique, Tanzania and Kenya in East Africa.

UAL has extended their existing liner services to and from West Africa to East Africa. This new direct liner service with sail on a monthly basis and will be performed by a modern box-shaped geared fleet for breakbulk, bulk, project cargoes, heavy lifts and containers.

The MV Andesborg of Wagenborg is equipped with 3 x 60-tonne deck cranes, a cargo capacity of 15.750 DWCC and tween decks.

UAL is familiar with the fleet of Wagenborg: during the past years Wagenborg fixed various A-types and 12.000 DWT vessels on Time Charter with Universal Africa Line (UAL). These vessels were deployed in the West Africa service.
