Hanseatic Break Bulk (HBB) recently filmed their tug and barge project solution in Swinousije, Poland.
In a trial operation, HBB proposed a tug and barge solution for transporting 18 very long rotor blades from Swinousije to Cuxhaven in Germany.
“Not only because the coaster market is at a historic peak of rates such concept is a brilliant supply chain solution for nearshore transports. A massive intake of 18 Blades / 6 sets with an option for more is one of the advantages, which equalizes nearly 3 coaster sailing in one towage!”
HBB contracted the tug and barge under their flag and managed nearly the same terms and conditions as their clients are used to from gearless coaster shipments.
