Belgian lifting specialist Sarens have designed and built a heavylift ring-mounted crane that is powered by electricity and can also regenerate its own electric power.
Sarens have launched their latest crane the SGC-90. With a boom length of up to 130m, a ring diameter of 35m, and a lifting capacity of 1.650 tonnes it is a new giant of the heavy lifting world. It can be configured in a variety of ways, with main boom lengths of 100, 120, and 130 metres.
According to Sarens, the crane is fully electric, powerful, green and also silent! Traditionally, engineering designs of machines on this scale have significant noise profiles.
The SGC-90 is named Little Celeste, after the granddaughter of the designer of the first ever Sarens Giant Crane – the SGC-120.
Sarens said that it already has a project already lined up for the new crane before the end of the year, but did not disclose the location.
