Wallenius Wilhelmsen is excited to announce a significant development in our fleet expansion with the acquisition of the vessel M/V Porgy. Previously owned by WALL RO/RO AB, Porgy has been a valuable part of our time charter fleet, and we are thrilled to officially integrate her into our fleet.
M/V Porgy is currently at IMC Shipyard in Zhoushan, China, where she will undergo a 15-year dry docking next week. This period will bring major sustainability upgrades, aligning with our commitment to modernize and enhance our fleet. The planned upgrades include enhanced crew accommodations, state-of-the-art navigational equipment, and energy-efficient engine enhancements. Additionally, we are installing a CO2 firefighting system to ensure the highest safety standards.
