Altius and Lcg Logística Collaborate to Transport Sculpture from Spain to Oklahoma City

Altius, in partnership with Lcg Logística, successfully transported a captivating sculpture created by the renowned artist Casto Solano from Vitoria, Spain to Oklahoma City in the United States. Named “Baobab,” the sculpture draws its inspiration from the distinctive African and Australian tree known for its large, irregularly shaped trunk adorned with knots.

Weighing a remarkable 1.5 tonnes, the sculpture stands at an impressive height of 7 meters with a diameter of 4 meters. To facilitate its journey across the Atlantic, the sculpture had to be meticulously disassembled and carefully placed inside a container. The transportation process was flawlessly executed, ensuring the safe arrival of the sculpture in pristine condition to the American capital. Upon arrival, Altius’s USA office diligently handled all the necessary formalities and delivered the artwork punctually, maintaining its impeccable condition.

In early June, the “Baobab” sculpture will be meticulously reassembled as a captivating addition to a zoological, educational, and cultural complex, offering a delightful experience to visitors.
