The transportation of VESTAS wind turbine components to the Kotovo wind farm, Russia has been successfully completed by Barrus Projects.
The construction of two wind power plants in the Volgograd region began last year – the Kotovskaya wind farm and the Novoalekseevskaya wind farm. It is planned to install 21 wind turbines on the territory of the Kotovskaya wind farm, and the power plant will be connected to the Kalininsky – Zhirnovsk – Kotovo – Kamyshin road at 111 km. The Novoalekseevskaya wind farm will include 4 wind turbines.
Barrus Projects delivered the main components for the installation of 21 wind turbines to the Kotovo wind farm.
Preparations for the project began almost a year before its implementation – in November 2020. The project itself lasted from June 21 to August 6, 2021.
The main OOG cargoes were:
- Blade (21 units) – 62 x 3.9 x 3 m;
- Nacelle (21 units) – 12 x 4.2 x 3.2 m;
- Drive train (21 units) – 7.3 x 3.5 x 3.2 m;
- Hub (21 units) – 5.4 x 3.8 x 4 m;
- 3 tower sections (21 units each) – 17.4, 21.6 and 27 m.
