This strategic collaboration aims to equip Maersk’s extensive fleet of over 330 container vessels with Starlink’s high-speed satellite internet connectivity by the first quarter of 2024.
Following a successful pilot phase involving more than 30 Maersk vessels, Starlink’s technology demonstrated its prowess, garnering overwhelmingly positive feedback from the crew members. The forthcoming deployment of Starlink promises internet speeds exceeding 200 Mbps, marking a substantial leap forward in terms of both speed and latency. This move is poised to have a profound impact on both crew welfare and business efficiency.

The low-latency, high-speed internet will facilitate cost-saving measures by enabling the transition of critical business applications to the cloud. Additionally, it will strengthen remote support and inspections of the vessels, streamlining operations on a global scale.
