ABL DISSACO and Partners Successfully Transport 156-Ton Rotary Cooker

ABL DISSACO, in collaboration with its Spanish PCN partners Perez & Cia, has achieved a remarkable feat in the logistics industry by orchestrating the seamless multimodal transport of a 156-ton agro-industrial rotary cooker from Bilbao, Spain, to western North-Rhine Westphalia, Germany.

The journey commenced at the FCA Bilbao facility, where the massive rotary cooker, known as Rotativo, was prepared for transport. With meticulous planning and coordination, ABL DISSACO and its partners ensured the successful loading of the cooker onto a vessel destined for the port of Antwerp.

Upon arrival at Antwerp, the Rotativo underwent a strategic transfer from the mother vessel to a RoRo pontoon. This transfer marked the beginning of the cooker’s inland waterway journey, navigating through the river Rhine towards its ultimate destination.

Utilizing the RoRo method, the Rotativo was efficiently discharged from the pontoon upon reaching the unloading facility on the river Rhine. From there, the final leg of the journey commenced as the cooker was transported by truck to its designated location in the western region of North-Rhine Westphalia.

Despite the complexities inherent in such a large-scale transportation operation, ABL DISSACO and its partners executed the delivery with precision and timeliness, ensuring that all stages of the process were completed without delay.

As the operation concluded successfully, ABL DISSACO extends its gratitude to its partners for their professional assistance throughout this challenging endeavor. This collaborative effort underscores the importance of teamwork and expertise in overcoming logistical obstacles and delivering exceptional results.
