Global air charter and leasing specialist, Chapman Freeborn, has announced the appointment of Nick Kelly as Senior Vice President for Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance (ACMI) Leasing. The announcement was made on Thursday, 20th April 2023, and follows the formation of a new global ACMI department.
Kelly has 18 years of experience in ACMI leasing and cargo operations, making him a valuable addition to Chapman Freeborn’s team. His new role will involve working with the company’s ACMI teams across the globe, with a particular focus on third-party ACMI leasing and business growth in the European market and beyond.
Commenting on his new role, Kelly said: “I’m excited to join Chapman Freeborn and look forward to working together with the team we have put in place to grow our global presence in the ACMI market, adding to Chapman Freeborn’s already excellent reputation in providing cargo, group charter, and private jet charter services.”
As Senior Vice President for ACMI Leasing, Kelly will report to Scott Collier, President of ACMI at Chapman Freeborn. Collier praised Kelly’s extensive experience, which he believes will be a significant asset to the team and the company as a whole. The appointment is a reflection of Chapman Freeborn’s commitment to providing long-term support to airlines, Collier added.
Outside of work, Kelly is an avid traveler, enjoys spending time with his family, and has a passion for playing sports such as tennis and football. He also holds a pilot’s license, demonstrating his deep-rooted love for flying.
