BERLIN/OSLO, Nov 4, 2026 – German logistics technology company CO3 Technologies GmbH has acquired 100% of Norwegian freight intelligence provider Kinver AS, combining transport cost analysis with real-time vehicle data to give road freight operators greater control over operating expenses, service performance and emissions.

The acquisition marks CO3’s first purchase since its separation from digital freight forwarder sennder in 2025. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The combined platform connects more than 350,000 trucks, trailers, telematics devices and refrigeration units across 35 countries, processing more than 215 million unique data points daily.

Connecting freight costs with operational performance

The acquisition addresses a longstanding challenge in road freight logistics: the separation between what transport companies agree to pay and what actually happens during a shipment.

Kinver specialises in auditing freight invoices against contracted rates, service agreements and additional charges. Its software also calculates shipment emissions using methodologies accredited under ISO and Smart Freight Centre standards.

CO3 provides the operational data, including vehicle locations, estimated arrival times, driving hours, temperature monitoring and delivery performance.

By combining these capabilities, freight forwarders, shippers and construction logistics operators can compare actual transport performance against contractual obligations.

For example, a delayed delivery or unexpected surcharge can be checked against vehicle movement records, helping determine whether additional charges are justified.

The combined platform brings together more than 600 third-party integrations, including Kinver’s connections with 57 transport management and enterprise resource planning systems.

Acquisition expands financial oversight

Nicolaus Schefenacker, CEO of CO3, said the transaction extends the company’s role beyond shipment tracking.

“Together, that is the data platform freight has been missing. It moves us from showing customers where their trucks are to showing them where cost sits in their network.”

The integration is expected to support automated verification of invoices, service level agreements and surcharge claims using operational evidence.

Over time, CO3 plans to use the combined information to support artificial intelligence systems capable of processing claims, disputing invoices and identifying opportunities to recover transport costs.

These automated capabilities remain longer-term objectives rather than services confirmed as fully operational.

Kinver founder joins CO3 management

Lars Fredrik Eriksen, Kinver’s founder and CEO, joins CO3 as Vice President Commercial following the acquisition.

Eriksen said access to verified vehicle data would strengthen Kinver’s freight auditing capabilities.

“We founded Kinver to give shippers certainty on what they pay for freight. The limit was always evidence: you can only audit what you can prove.”

Founded in Oslo in April 2020, Kinver serves more than 60 enterprise accounts.

Its Kinver Engine product audits freight spending, rates and contractual service levels, while TerraTwin provides shipment-level transport emissions calculations through an API.

CO3, established in 2019 within sennder, operates through 550 third-party telematics providers and 12 original equipment manufacturer partnerships.

The Berlin-headquartered company became independent in 2025 and maintains teams across Europe.

The acquisition brings Kinver’s products and employees into CO3’s existing operations, with Eriksen taking responsibility for commercial activities.
