Dubai South and Aldar have joined forces to introduce a Grade A logistics facility slated for completion by 2024. The collaboration between Dubai South, a prominent urban master development focusing on aviation, logistics, and real estate, and Aldar, a leading real estate developer, manager, and investor in the UAE, marks a pivotal moment in enhancing the logistics landscape within the region.
The commencement of construction on this state-of-the-art logistics facility comes as a result of a recent agreement between the two entities. Designed to elevate Grade A logistics facilities within Dubai South’s Logistics District, this initiative aims to revolutionize logistics operations in the area.
Strategic Logistics Facility Industry leaders, including Mohsen Ahmad, CEO of the Logistics District at Dubai South, and David Dudley, Aldar’s Chief Partnerships and Investments Officer, officiated the groundbreaking ceremony, underscoring the significance of this collaborative endeavor.
Strategically situated in close proximity to Al Maktoum International Airport, the forthcoming logistics facility will cover approximately 23,000 square meters. Offering a comprehensive range of services, including both bonded and non-bonded options, the facility boasts a usable eaves height of 16 meters, ensuring ample space for various cargo requirements. Moreover, stringent temperature control measures, with settings maintained at 24 degrees Celsius, ensure optimal storage conditions for sensitive goods.
Commitment to Sector Growth Expressing optimism about the project’s impact, Mohsen Ahmad emphasized its potential to bolster the efficiency and capacity of the logistics sector while reinforcing Dubai’s position as a global logistics hub. He affirmed, “We will spare no effort to support Aldar’s venture into the sector and look forward to announcing the commencement of construction work at further logistics facilities.”

Integrated Logistics Ecosystem Featuring specialized zones tailored to diverse logistical needs, the district offers direct connectivity to Al Maktoum International Airport cargo terminals, EZDubai—an exclusive e-commerce free zone—and a Contract Logistics Zone. These offerings underscore the district’s pivotal role in the global logistics network, facilitating seamless operations and enhancing supply chain efficiencies.
