Fracht Poland Delivers Large Components for Dolna Odra Power Plant Project

The Dolna Odra Power Plant Project has become one of the notable energy ventures in which Fracht Poland has actively participated. Recently, Fracht successfully transported the final two sizable components required for the construction of the new gas blocks at the Dolna Odra Power Plant. These modules, weighing 32 tonnes each, boasted dimensions of 910 x 510 x 480 cm.

The sheer size of the cargo, particularly its height and width, posed challenges in selecting suitable transportation methods. Nonetheless, Fracht managed to deliver the modules within a span of seven weeks, all the way from North China to the power plant’s construction site. After unloading the cargo from the sea vessel in Hamburg, Fracht loaded the modules onto a dedicated barge, which carried the cargo directly to the unloading site at the power plant.

Given the advanced stage of work and completed structures at the construction site, careful planning and execution were imperative. Fracht utilized a low-loader trailer to navigate the intricacies of the “last mile” and ensured a thorough inspection and preparation process for the cargo’s installation site. This meticulous approach guaranteed a smooth and secure transportation process for the large components.
