Intermarine Expands Fleet with Four Heavy-Lifters, Boosting Transatlantic Network

Intermarine, the leading multi-purpose carrier in the Americas, is set for a robust start to 2024 with a significant fleet expansion. Teaming up with heavy-lift powerhouse Jumbo-SAL-Alliance, Intermarine proudly announces the addition of four modern vessels to its fleet, marking a strategic move to enhance its services and transatlantic network.

Dynamic Fleet Expansion

In a strategic move, Intermarine has secured a long-term charter for four heavy-lift vessels, reinforcing its commitment to versatility in meeting diverse customer demands. The vessels, named Industrial Fraternity (F360), Industrial Skipper (F500), Industrial Swift (F500), and Louise Auerbach (F300), are set to commence operations in the coming weeks.

MV Industrial Fraternity and MV Industrial Skipper are scheduled to join global trade routes around January 12 and 15, respectively. Following suit, MV Industrial Swift and MV Louise Auerbach will come into service around February 1. These vessels will play a pivotal role in strengthening connections between Europe, Africa, and the Americas.

Versatile Modus Operandi

Intermarine CEO Svend Andersen expresses confidence in the fleet expansion, stating, “We’ve always had a dynamic blend of owned vessels and time-charter ships in our fleet. By adding these modern heavy-lift vessels, we can build on our services with an extremely attractive offering.”

The F500 vessels, equipped with 2 x 250 t SWL cranes, boast advanced technical capabilities and exceptional fuel efficiency, making them ideal for various operations. Intermarine COO Lars Rasmussen emphasizes the importance of supporting customer needs with consistent and readily available vessel positions.

Strategic Commitment for Enhanced Services

The collaboration between Intermarine and Jumbo-SAL-Alliance ensures a seamless integration of the new vessels into the existing fleet and trade routes. Harren Group CEO Martin Harren concludes, “These vessels represent not only exceptional capabilities but also crucial strategic assets for both Intermarine and the Jumbo-SAL-Alliance.”

The vessels, representing a significant investment in meeting evolving customer demands, are expected to cater to a more extensive customer base and reinforce the commitment to delivering reliable solutions for breakbulk, project, and heavy-lift cargos.
