Liebherr USA, Co. has announced the appointment of Johnny Greer as the new Divisional Director of Mining, effective May 6, 2024. Greer, who brings two decades of industry experience, will now lead the U.S. mining division, taking charge of a robust team that handles sales, service, and training for Liebherr’s extensive mining equipment range.

Greer’s professional background is impressive. Before joining Liebherr, he held various roles at Austin Engineering from 2005 to 2024. His positions ranged from Supply Chain, Materials, and Production Control Manager North America to General Manager for both South and North America. His extensive experience in these roles equipped him with a deep understanding of the mining industry, which will be invaluable in his new role at Liebherr. Additionally, Greer was actively involved in several prominent mining organizations, including the Society for Mining, Metallurgy, and Exploration, the National Mining Association, and the Nevada and Wyoming Mining Associations.
