Subsea7 have been part of the Murphy Oil Corporation Khaleesi, Mormont and Samurai field developments, and of course, the Murphy-operated King’s Quay floating production system in the Gulf of Mexico.
With more than 1 million project hours and 14 vessels operating simultaneously in the field at peak, Subsea7 worked collaboratively with Murphy Oil and key suppliers to safely achieve first oil ahead of the revised project schedule, which was significantly impacted by the pandemic.
Despite challenges, the installation teams showed remarkable flexibility to keep the project moving forward.
