United O7 Americas Launched

United Heavy Lift (UHL) welcomes Ocean7 Projects (Ocean7) as a partner in the UHL Americas, Inc. branch office in Houston, Texas as of 01 March 2022. The new company is named: United O7 Americas.

Both UHL and Ocean7 specialise in the transportation of heavy lift, project and general cargo.

UHL’s Houston office has already started operations in November 2020 and is managed by Rene Pedersen. Rene joined United Heavy Lift in 2020 with nearly 18 years of experience in the multi-purpose heavy lift shipping industry, having held senior positions with Scan-Trans, Intermarine, and Zeamarine. Eileen Wang also joined UHL Americas in 2020 as Business Development Executive. Eileen is highly regarded by customers in Houston and has more than 25 years of experience, having successfully represented major MPP carriers in the United States before.

With Ocean7 joining the Houston branch, the office is renamed United O7 Americas as of 01 March 2022. The Houston office is the fifth joint UHL and Ocean7 office. UHL and Ocean7 joined forces in 2019 and have since opened offices in Dubai and Kuala Lumpur (with subdivisions in Beijing and Tokyo) under the United Ocean7 brand (UO7), providing clients with their combined expertise and experience and access to a large and diverse fleet. Both companies have extensive heavy lift fleets that complement each other very well.

Houston has always been a major shipping hub and is considered the energy capital of the world. By joining forces, we will strengthen our presence in this market and continue to serve the world’s largest EPC contractors, oil and gas companies, and project forwarders. I am very pleased to keep working with my long-time colleagues Eileen Wang and Rene Petersen. They both have a wealth of experience and have built close relationships with our US customers over the years,” said Lars Bonnesen, Managing Director of United Heavy Lift.

Managing Partner of Ocean7 Jesper Henriksen adds, “By working together, we will continue to cover all market segments in our industry, offer customers with access to our shared large and diverse fleet, and offer our combined expertise and experience.”

Ocean7 CEO Stefan Petersen affirms, “We are pleased to expand our successful cooperation with UHL together with local partners. The concept has proven that together we can enhance our ability to offer a broader and more specialized spectrum to our close customers.”
