The M.V. Aeolus owned by Van Oord, will undergo a major upgrade to make it fit for future projects. The company has decided to install a new, longer boom on the existing crane. This will make the vessel more competitive and able to participate in challenging projects. By installing a new, longer boom on the existing crane, the vessel will be able to transport the latest generation of up to 15 MW turbines for offshore wind projects.
The plan to upgrade the vessel is in line with Van Oord’s strategy to continuously invest in modern and sustainable technologies.
