The first OCG Ecological Data buoy in Europe was inaugurated this week

The first OCG Ecological Data buoy in Europe was inaugurated this week by Mrs. Carole Delga, President of the Occitanie Region. The buoy was installed at the new Euroports terminal in Port-La Nouvelle, which is dedicated to the assembly of floating wind turbines. The purpose of the buoy is to monitor the ecological impact of future wind turbine parks, by collecting information on the behavior of underwater and aerial species as well as their interactions with wind, waves, and currents. The buoy is developed by Ocergy and its partners, it is equipped with high technology and powered by solar and wind energy. Image credit (c): Region Occitanie-SeaSkyMotion
