JAXPORT Expands Capacities and Forges Stronger Partnerships

In a packed State of the Port address hosted by the Propeller Club – Port of Jacksonville, JAXPORT CEO Eric Green unveiled a strategic vision aimed at fostering sustained growth in cargo volume for Jacksonville. With over 500 transportation and logistics experts in attendance, the event showcased the pivotal role Jacksonville plays in the maritime industry.

“Diverse stakeholders, from longshoremen to truck drivers, form the backbone of Jacksonville’s maritime prowess,” emphasized Darnell Smith, Chief of Staff for Jacksonville Mayor Donna Deegan, highlighting the city’s interconnectedness with its port.

Under CEO Eric Green‘s stewardship, JAXPORT has executed its five-year Strategic Master Plan with resounding success, noted JAXPORT Chair Daniel Bean. This achievement fortifies the port’s capabilities, ensuring a conducive environment for business expansion in Jacksonville and neighboring areas.

Reflecting on recent milestones, CEO Green underscored the collaborative efforts driving progress. “From forging new trade routes to fostering public-private partnerships and initiating a novel cruise service, JAXPORT and its collaborators are actively diversifying business portfolios,” he remarked, signaling a proactive stance towards accommodating varied cargo types and enhancing business prospects.
