Blue Bell Shipping completes the first shipment for a new project in North Iraq

The Blue Bell Shipping Project team has just completed the first shipment for a new ongoing project in North Iraq. This shipment featured the delivery of x62 Fibre Spar spools shipped on x31 40ft flat racks. Each spool was 5.65m (L) x 5.65m (W) x 2.50m (H) and 14mt.

The scope of work included the full door to door service, the cargo was collected from Saudi Arabia and shipped to Mersin, Turkey as ocean freight before being trucked from Turkey to the remote oilfield/site in North Iraq.

Unfortunately, the shipment arrived at Mersin during the disastrous earthquake which shook the region, this resulted in many challenges including both port and road closures as well as having to relocate the cargo on short notice to reduce the risk of damage and detention, fortunately the BBS team was able to overcome these hurdles and deliver the cargo to the end user successfully and on time.

This is only the first shipment of many for this new project where BBS aims to continue to deliver cargo, overcome challenges and adhere to the stellar reputation for excellent service which it has built over the last 36 years.
