Blue Water Expands Presence in South Korea with Zodiac Solutions Acquisition

Blue Water, a global player in maritime, breakbulk, project freight, cargo, and logistics, officially announced the acquisition of Zodiac Solutions at the Korea – Denmark Offshore Wind Business Conference. The ceremony, attended by key figures including Lars Aagaard, Danish Minister for Climate, Energy and Utilities, and Jason Goh, Regional Director Asia at Blue Water, marked the beginning of Blue Water’s strategic expansion into South Korea.

The agreement, signed during the conference, solidifies Blue Water’s commitment to the region. Raphael Park, the current Managing Director of Zodiac Solutions, will assume the role of General Manager for Blue Water South Korea as part of this acquisition. The transition is poised to bring together the strengths of both companies, leveraging Zodiac Solutions’ local expertise and Blue Water’s global capabilities.

Thomas Bek, Blue Water’s Chief Operating Officer for Energy, Ports & Projects, expressed enthusiasm for the move, stating, “We are delighted to announce this important step in our expansion plans. The acquisition of Zodiac Solutions brings expertise and a valuable network, particularly in the logistics of diverse industries such as Renewables, Mining, Oil, Gas & Industrial projects, General Cargo Sea & Air, Marine logistics, and Defense logistics. We have had the pleasure of working with Zodiac Solutions as a local partner for many years.”

The completion of the acquisition is scheduled for May 1, marking the official establishment of Blue Water South Korea. The new entity is poised to offer a broad spectrum of reliable and high-quality global logistics services. With a dedicated team of local experts, Blue Water South Korea will prioritize the renewable energy sector, aligning with the growing demand for sustainable solutions in the region.

As part of its broader expansion strategy in Asia, Blue Water is also set to open an office in Japan later this year. This move aims to further solidify Blue Water’s presence in the continent and contribute to its global footprint. The company’s focus on strategic partnerships and local expertise positions it as a key player in the dynamic and ever-evolving logistics landscape.

In conclusion, Blue Water’s acquisition of Zodiac Solutions and its upcoming expansion into Japan signify a proactive approach to meet the increasing demands of the Asian market. This move underscores Blue Water’s commitment to providing seamless and efficient logistics solutions across diverse industries, reflecting the company’s dedication to innovation and strategic growth.
