DEME participates in a tunnel construction in the South of Holland

DEME the ship of M.V. Neptune is involved in a tunnel construction project in Blankenburg. The ship was used to install a large foundation plates on the bottom of the Scheur. These form a temporary foundation for the Maasdelta tunnel. 12 tiles were laid, each weighing about 100 tonnes. Despite strong currents, the tiles were laid with a tolerance of only a few centimetres. The contractor BAAK EPCM, DEME and Ballast Nedam, is expected to immerse the tunnel elements in spring 2023.
