Diamond Line’s “Xin Xia Men” Set to Make Waves in Maritime Industry

The “Xin Xia Men” vessel, belonging to Diamond Line, is poised to make its debut at the Piraeus Port Authority (PPA/OLP), under the auspices of COSCO Shipping. This momentous occasion marks the vessel’s entry into service loop NET2, positioning it as the largest in its class. Since 2017, the service loop has been vital in connecting North Europe’s primary hubs with ports in the Levant, utilizing standard Panamax vessels.

With dimensions boasting a length of 280 meters and a nominal capacity of 5,668 TEU (Twenty-Foot Equivalent Unit), the “Xin Xia Men” signifies a monumental leap in Diamond Line’s operational capabilities. It stands as the inaugural vessel among three slated for deployment this year, promising to augment the company’s capacity by an impressive 40%.

Since its inception in 2017, the NET2 service has played a pivotal role in facilitating trade and commerce between key regions, fostering economic growth and connectivity. The inclusion of the “Xin Xia Men” heralds a new era of efficiency and scale, promising enhanced reliability and performance for stakeholders involved in the supply chain.
