Collaborating with Concord, Sarens embarked on the monumental task of installing LRT beams for the Monorail project in Egypt’s New Capital, Cairo, underscoring its commitment to excellence and innovation in the field of heavy lifting.
The project, initiated last October, required meticulous planning and execution due to the sheer scale and intricacy involved. Sarens, known for its expertise in handling challenging lifting operations, rose to the occasion. Deploying the CC4800 SH (54m. MB) crane, which was transported from another project site and assembled within a swift three days, demonstrated the company’s efficiency and agility.
Installing Monorail beams, each measuring a substantial 35 meters in length, weighing an impressive 145 tons, and spanning 20 meters, presented a unique set of challenges. Despite these hurdles, Sarens’ adept crew navigated the operation with precision and finesse, ensuring seamless progress over the course of a month. The lifts, conducted at a height of 12 meters, demanded meticulous coordination and adherence to strict safety protocols.
Safety remained paramount throughout the project, with Sarens implementing stringent measures to safeguard both personnel and assets. Two dedicated crew members oversaw operations at all times, ensuring compliance with safety best practices. Additionally, the project necessitated the closure of a nearby road to facilitate the movement of the crane, highlighting the intricacies involved in executing large-scale infrastructure projects within urban environments.
