Great British Sports Cars Expands Global Reach with Davies Turner Logistics Partnership

Great British Sports Cars (GBS) has reaffirmed its logistics partnership with Davies Turner, which continues to play a pivotal role in the company’s global expansion. Recently, this collaboration saw Davies Turner managing the shipment of two GBS Zero vehicles from the UK to the United States. The Zero, a high-performance interpretation of the Lotus Seven/Caterham silhouette, brings a powerful driving experience that appeals to motoring enthusiasts. These specific vehicles, shipped in kit form, required bespoke crating to ensure they arrived in pristine condition and ready for final assembly.

Since their first partnership in 2021, Davies Turner has established itself as the primary freight forwarder for GBS, handling both Full Container Load (FCL) and Less than Container Load (LCL) shipments, predominantly to North America. With several shipments occurring each year, the logistics provider ensures GBS’s handcrafted sports cars, whether fully assembled or in kit form, reach their international destinations swiftly and securely. Beyond the vehicles themselves, Davies Turner also manages time-sensitive shipments of parts and spares through airfreight, further supporting GBS’s operations.

GBS’s presence in the custom-built sports car market continues to grow, with the company’s flexible car kits and fully built vehicles gaining a loyal following. The logistics expertise provided by Davies Turner extends from the factory floor in the UK right to the customer’s door, ensuring seamless delivery and customer satisfaction.

“Working with GBS has been a remarkable journey,” commented Derek Shepley, Sales Executive at Davies Turner. “Its dedication to craftsmanship and innovation in the automotive industry is inspiring. We are proud to support its expansion into North America and other global markets and look forward to continuing our partnership as its business grows.”

Echoing this sentiment, Richard Hall, Director of GBS, added: “As we continue to expand globally, we are exploring new market opportunities. The supply chain management expertise and international logistics network of Davies Turner supports our ability to meet the growing demand for our sports cars worldwide.”

The partnership between GBS and Davies Turner highlights the importance of reliable logistics in driving international growth, particularly in a niche market like custom sports cars. As GBS expands, the efficiency of its supply chain remains paramount, with Davies Turner serving as an essential component of its success.
