Kuehne+Nagel Unveils Cutting-Edge Air Logistics Hub at Charles de Gaulle Airport

Kuehne+Nagel France has proudly unveiled its air logistics hub nestled in the heart of Cargo City at the bustling Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris. This strategic development not only catapults Kuehne+Nagel into a realm of expanded global air freight capabilities but also bolsters their healthcare logistics solutions in the region.

Boasting an impressive capacity to handle a staggering 300 air freight pallets on a weekly basis, this hub eclipses its predecessor with a processing surface that is 2.5 times larger. Furthermore, its prime location grants direct access to the airport’s runways, enhancing its efficiency and connectivity. With over 320 destinations worldwide and fortified by a TAPA-FSR A security certification, the new air logistics hub opens doors to untapped markets spanning high-tech, luxury, aerospace, industrial, and automotive sectors.

One of the most notable features of this cutting-edge facility is its steadfast dedication to healthcare cargo. A substantial 4,500 square meters have been exclusively allocated to cold rooms and meticulously controlled temperature zones. This healthcare domain adheres rigorously to the GDP and CEIV standards, solidifying its place within Kuehne+Nagel’s esteemed HealthChain certification. This ensures the utmost precision and care in storing and transporting sensitive goods. The hub also pivots towards research and development, championed by QuickSTAT, a subsidiary of Kuehne+Nagel, known for their proficiency in tailored supply chain planning.

What sets this hub apart is its commitment to sustainability. The facility proudly bears the BREEAM Excellent certification, a testament to its commendable energy efficiency and marked reduction in carbon footprint. Complementing this, a constellation of 1,332 photovoltaic solar panels adorns the roof, culminating in an annual saving of approximately 26.4 tons of CO2 emissions.

Heiko Schuhmacher, the Regional Head of Air Logistics Europe, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “The inauguration of the new hub, located at one of Europe’s best-connected airports, reinforces Kuehne+Nagel’s leading position in air logistics and strong ambition on our healthcare focus, as part of our Roadmap 2026.”
