Mammoet played a pivotal role in the successful installation of ten modules, each weighing 20 tonnes, in Dakar, Senegal.
The process began with the careful loading of the modules at the port of Dakar. Mammoet’s skilled team then took charge of transporting these modules over a distance of 30 kilometers using road transport. Upon arrival at the designated site, Mammoet utilized their advanced jacking and skidding systems to flawlessly position the modules onto their final locations.
A crucial aspect of the installation involved ensuring the even distribution of loads on the floor. To achieve this, Mammoet’s experts deviated from a standard straight line arrangement for the skidding system. This meticulous approach allowed for optimal weight distribution and guaranteed the modules were securely and precisely placed.
