Mammoet crews recently received two transformers, weighing in at approximately 159 tonnes each, in Freeport, Texas, for onward transportation via the streets.
Once received, the two transformers, 9 m (29 ft.) long, were loaded onto trailers with dollies, which were necessary in order to cross the bridges along the 72 km (45 mile) route.
The Mammoet teams in Mexico and USA assisted with logistics throughout the project and decided to transport both transformers simultaneously to increase cost savings and efficiency and they were delivered successfully to their destination.
