This is for everyone….
Have you EVER GIVEN a thought, to being trapped on a ship for 15 months?
Have you EVER GIVEN a thought to being denied medical treatment because of your profession?
Have you EVER GIVEN a thought to not seeing your family for 15 months because your employers won’t pay for the airfare?
Have you EVER GIVEN a thought to not walking on land for 15 months because countries want the goods you bring but not your breath?
Politicians
Have you EVER GIVEN a damn about anything but your votes?
Have you EVER GIVEN a thought about the human rights abuse in the delivery of your luxury goods, your food, and your medical supplies?
Even if you knew about the worldwide abuse of seafarers, would you even do anything about it? Have you EVER GIVEN a thought to anything but yourself?
I am so sick of reading the reports that the EVER GIVEN has sailed from Suez, it shows how shallow the focus of world trade on anything but the group of people who have tirelessly kept the wheels turning during the pandemic, but who are largely ignored.
Please sign the petition to provide an enforceable global protocol for “green channel” travel for seafarers
