On Monday 17th October, construction of the Hollandse Kust Noord offshore wind farm began: the first monopile was installed. With innovations such as offshore hydrogen production and floating solar panels, the first smart wind farm in the Netherlands is making an important contribution to accelerating the energy transition. The wind farm delivers a capacity equivalent to the electricity consumption of about 2.8% of the Netherlands.
