UHL’s MV Boldwind Unloads Blades in Esbjerg

United Heavy Lift’s newbuild heavy load deck carrier MV BoldWind has made its first port call in Esbjerg to unload wind turbine blades for the Moray East offshore wind farm.

MV Boldwind, owned and operated by United Wind Logistics (UWL) and chartered by MHI Vestas recently arrived in Europe having sailed its maiden voyage from China. It made a quick bunker stop in Rotterdam before heading to Scandinavia.

According to UHL, the 148.5-metre deck carrier is equipped with diesel electric propulsion, with a deadweight of 10,000 tonnes, a deck length of 128 metres, and a width of 28 metres.
