Wilson Takes Ownership of More General Cargo Vessels

This week, Wilson ASA announced that they have taken the Wilson Aviles into Wilson Shipowning and the general cargo vessel is now under Wilson Ship Management.

The vessel has been trading for Wilson on time charter since newbuilding and now it is fully owned and managed by Wilson. The vessel is preparing for trade after changing ownership, management and flag.

Earlier this month, Wilson announced an extension of their fleet.

” About two years ago we entered a partnership with Arkon Shipping GmbH & Co. KG where we purchased several of the vessels on a time charter basis. Today we are happy to announce that we have purchased 11 of these general cargo vessels. The partnership with Arkon continues, but these 11 vessels will now be owned by us.”

The new vessels in the Wilson fleet family are: Wilson Dublin, Wilson Davanger, Wilson Drammen, Wilson Drogheda, Wilson Dundee, Wilson Dunmore, Wilson Dusavik, Wilson Durness, Wilson Halsvik, Wilson Hanstholm and Wilson Horten.

Wilson now operate a fleet with more than 130 vessels with about 110 of the vessels owned by them.
