The project department developed and implemented a customised transport solution for heavy cargo with an overheight. Heavy forklifts were transported on flat racks by ocean. The total height of the cargo with a flat rack was 4.67 metres.
Bridges are usually a maximum of 4.20 metres high and the asphalt is usually suited to a load of around 19 tonnes per axle. A special route for the transport was selected, and low loaders were used to ensure safe transport of the forklifts.
In total, Yusen Logistics Germany transported three flat racks with different forklifts with a total weight of 102 tonnes.
