Another week of deliveries for Dolna Odra project

Another week of deliveries for Dolna Odra project where Fracht PWOP is the main provider of logistics services for their clients of the Fracht Group. One of the biggest challenges they faced was the transport of a gas turbine weighing 384 tons. The device, manufactured in Belfort, France, is over 11 meters long, 5.10 meters wide and 5.2 meters high. Turbine transport is an excellent example of the use of inland waterways in the logistics of heavy and oversize loads.

The “Bonvent” barge, with this spectacular cargo in the hold, traveled a long way from the French port of Neuf Brisach to Nowy Czarnów, Poland. After reloading from the barge to SPMT, the turbine was delivered to the machine room of the newly built power plant block, where it was placed on the foundation. The described delivery is another milestone in the implementation of this very demanding project.
