Bolloré Logistics Shines in the Spotlight: Successfully Orchestrates Logistics for the Noor Art Festival in Saudi Arabia

In a dazzling display of artistic brilliance, Bolloré Logistics recently played a crucial role in the logistics of the annual Festival of Light and Art, also known as the Noor Art Festival, held in Saudi Arabia. The festival, a beacon for international artists in the Middle East, attracted over 3 million visitors and showcased the exceptional coordination skills of Bolloré Logistics’ Fairs & Events teams.

The Logistics Ballet: 14 Containers and 76 Tonnes of Air Freight

Bolloré Logistics, responding to an invitation from Havas Events, took charge of the logistics intricacies involved in transporting a myriad of artworks. A total of 14 shipping containers, including 10 40’ Open Top containers, and a staggering 76 tonnes (461 m3) of air freight were seamlessly transported from artists’ studios to the exhibition sites in Riyadh. This massive logistical feat unfolded over a three-week period, with unique challenges posed by the exhibition locations.

Challenges Met with Expertise: A Logistical Coordination Triumph

Coordinating with Havas Events teams in France and Riyadh, artists’ agents and studios, the local exhibition partner, and partners in the artists’ countries of origin, Bolloré Logistics navigated through a labyrinth of challenges. Laurent Canot, Head of Fairs & Events at Bolloré Logistics, highlighted the complexities faced by the teams. “We managed all the logistics while meeting a number of challenges: the highly sensitive nature of the freight, people with limited knowledge of transport intricacies, the scale of the event, and the potential upheavals,” he explained.

A Global Artistic Tapestry: Collaboration with Artists Worldwide

Expressing gratitude for the opportunity, Canot stated, “We are very honored to have been able to work with 30 artists from all over the world on this festival, which is the world’s largest event of works of art focusing on light.” This collaborative effort not only showcased artistic diversity but also highlighted Bolloré Logistics’ commitment to managing logistics for globally acclaimed events.

Return Journey: Culmination of Seven Months of Intense Activity

As the Noor Art Festival draws to a close, Bolloré Logistics once again takes the center stage. The return of the artworks to their original destinations marks the culmination of seven months of intense activity, affirming the company’s enduring dedication to flawless execution and precision in logistics. Bolloré Logistics’ Fairs & Events department, with a rich history spanning 25 years, specializes in managing the logistics of operations for trade fairs and events globally. From consultancy to planning, and especially in the domain of transport and logistics, the department plays a pivotal role in enhancing the brand image and expertise of its diverse clientele around the world.
