Bolloré Solutions Logistiques Expands Contract Logistics with Acquisition of STEF Logistique Santé

In a move to bolster its Contract Logistics services and fortify its presence in the pharmaceutical sector, Bolloré Solutions Logistiques (BSL), a subsidiary of Bolloré Logistics, has successfully acquired the Healthcare subsidiary of STEF Group – STEF Logistique Santé (SLS), based in Strasbourg.

With this acquisition, BSL gains a competitive edge by tapping into the expertise of SLS, known for its logistical capabilities and involvement in supplying specialized packaging for pharmaceutical products. The move aligns seamlessly with BSL’s growth strategy, emphasizing Contract Logistics and a commitment to elevating service standards in the Healthcare industry.

SLS, located across three sites in Strasbourg’s Port du Rhin, boasts a workforce of 85 professionals. Beyond logistics, the company has made a mark in providing tailor-made packaging solutions for pharmaceuticals. BSL’s latest move comes with the acquisition of a substantial total surface area of approximately 13,000 m², featuring controlled temperatures ranging from +2°/+8°C, +15°/+25°C to -20°C.

This acquisition propels BSL’s overall warehousing space in France to over 85,000 m². Notably, the company operates a state-of-the-art 10,000 m² temperature-controlled logistics facility in Alsace, inaugurated in 2021 at Strasbourg Entzheim airport. This facility has been instrumental in delivering high value-added services for pharmaceutical product flows, encompassing both air and sea export operations.

Laurent Foloppe, the CEO of Bolloré Solutions Logistiques, expressed enthusiasm about the strategic move, stating, “The acquisition of STEF Logistique Santé is part of a twofold approach, encompassing our Contract Logistics growth strategy as well as our drive to enhance our service offering in the Healthcare sector. We are thrilled to have been able to conclude this deal, enabling us to offer comprehensive solutions to our customers in a rapidly growing sector.”

As of now, BSL operates across various regions, including Lyon (Genas), Alsace (Entzheim), Orleans, and the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, with more than 100 employees contributing to its success. The company, specializing in contract logistics, continues to assist clients from diverse sectors in their warehousing and distribution projects, showcasing its commitment to delivering unparalleled services.
