Buss and IDEA Join Forces for French Offshore Wind

The German Buss Offshore Solutions and French logistics services provider IDEA Groupe have officially entered into a joint venture dedicated to the offshore wind market in France.

The news follows the signing of a declaration of intent for establishing the Buss IDEA Offshore joint venture which already took place in September last year.

Buss IDEA Offshore will be mainly focused on providing comprehensive logistics services for the French offshore wind market. This market is growing and with new offshore fields being designed and developed this JV should be successful.

The services include shore-side and base port logistics, which are required for the installation, operation and maintenance phases, along with warehousing and factory logistics for suppliers and manufacturers.

“We are officially offering the French market our tailor-made logistics services for the first time and we are proud to be able to contribute our experience from the fields of transport and port logistics for offshore wind farms in the North Sea and Baltic Sea on this future-focused growth market,” said Martin Schulz, CEO Buss IDEA Offshore and Buss Offshore Solutions.
