C. Steinweg Lifting More Breakbulk

C. Steinweg are divesting their container terminal portfolio and concentrating on breakbulk commodity logistics and project cargo.

The C. Steinweg Group, Netherlands, has received a new crane in Rotterdam to assist with their growing breakbulk business.

To their portfolio of lifting equipment, they have added a Gottwald HMK 7608 type 7 multipurpose lifting capacity 150MT. The crane has journeyed from Ancona, Italy to Steinweg Rotterdam for use at their Beatrixhaven Terminal.

“While other companies in the sector, might contemplate getting out of the breakbulk business, the Steinweg group moves in the opposite direction by divesting their container terminal portfolio and concentrating on breakbulk commodity logistics and project cargo.”

Their Rotterdam terminals handle project cargo’s in the Power, Oil & Gas and Mining sectors, but also large volume heavy commodities like Steel, Ferro Alloys and Metals. Steinweg also their own ocean terminals in Hamburg, Antwerp, Genoa, Trieste, Baltimore and Sohar.
