Cadeler’s M.V. Wind Osprey Embarks on Netherlands Wind Farm Project

Cadeler has dispatched the M.V. Wind Osprey to the Port of Eemshaven, marking the commencement of an ambitious wind farm project off the coast of the Netherlands.

In a collaborative effort spanning the next several months, Cadeler will lend its support to Van Oord in realizing the Hollandse Kust Noord offshore wind farm project. Once completed, this impressive undertaking will encompass 69 Siemens Gamesa 11MW offshore wind turbines, boasting a remarkable capacity of 759 MW. Such a significant output will effectively cater to the energy needs of over one million Dutch households each year, harnessing the power of renewable energy.

CrossWind, a dynamic joint venture between Shell and Eneco, stands at the helm of the wind farm’s development and operation. Notably, the Hollandse Kust Noord project will feature the same cutting-edge 11MW Siemens Gamesa turbines successfully employed in the Hollandse Kust Zuid project, further underlining the pursuit of technological excellence and sustainable energy solutions.
