In a triumphant conclusion to 2023, Jumbo Offshore has proudly completed the installation of transition pieces at the Baltic Eagle offshore wind farm in the German Baltic Sea. This achievement marks a significant milestone in the collaborative efforts between Jumbo Offshore and Van Oord.
Earlier this year, a strategic partnership was formed between Van Oord and Jumbo Offshore for the installation of transition pieces at Iberdrola’s Baltic Eagle offshore wind farm. The project reached its pinnacle last month when the heavylift vessel Fairplayer successfully executed the grouting operation for the 50th and final transition piece, signaling the project’s completion.
What sets this accomplishment apart is the remarkable efficiency demonstrated throughout the process. From the initial vessel reservation agreement to the installation of the first transition piece, the timeline spanned a mere three months. This rapid pace was made possible by the unwavering trust and transparent collaboration between the Jumbo Offshore and Van Oord project teams.
Van Oord’s familiarity with the Jumbo Offshore team, stemming from their previous collaboration on the Arkona Offshore Wind Farm, played a pivotal role in the seamless execution of the Baltic Eagle project.
