CEVA Logistics, the logistics arm of CMA CGM, has recently announced a noteworthy acquisition deal. The company has inked an agreement to acquire a substantial 96% stake in Mumbai-based Stellar Value Chain Solutions, a dynamic player in the contract logistics landscape. This acquisition is set to expand CEVA Logistics’ capabilities and reach across various industry segments in the Indian market.
Founded in 2016 by Anshuman Singh, Stellar Value Chain Solutions has carved out a significant niche for itself. With offerings spanning across omni-channel fulfillment services, the company has garnered recognition in diverse sectors such as eCommerce, automotive, food products, consumer goods, fashion and retail, as well as healthcare and pharmaceuticals. Anshuman Singh, the brain behind this venture, expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership, citing a shared commitment to customer-centric services and a promising future under CEVA Logistics’ umbrella.
The acquisition holds immense potential for CEVA Logistics, bringing along a robust infrastructure. The deal encompasses a considerable 715,000 square meters of space distributed across over 70 facilities in 21 Indian cities. Furthermore, the acquisition also entails the inclusion of nearly 8,000 employees from Stellar Value Chain Solutions, augmenting CEVA’s human capital.
CEVA Logistics is already a presence to reckon with in the Indian logistics landscape, boasting its subsidiary’s operation in 75 locations across 35 cities with a warehousing expanse of approximately 25,000 square meters. This new acquisition propels CEVA Logistics to a position of greater prominence, extending its range of services to a broader clientele while leveraging its global expertise for operational efficiency and innovation.
Mathieu Friedberg, CEO of CEVA Logistics, underscored the strategic significance of the acquisition. He stated, “With the addition of Stellar VCS, we will continue our strategic growth with the goal of becoming a Top 5 global logistics player. We are expanding into more key market segments and boosting our presence in this strategic country.”
