Combining strengths to transport a skid to the Middle East

The 200 tonnes weighing skid was loaded by means of a conventional trailer on the Wagenborg Barge 14. Loading was performed by driving via the side of this pontoon, measuring 65m in length and 11,40m in width. Once in the correct position, the skid was deposited and sea-fasted for water transport to the Wagenborg terminal in Eemshaven, which was performed by Wagenborg tugs ‘WATERLELIE’ en ‘GYAS’. Here, the skid was loaded into a seagoing vessel destined for the Middle East.
