Using an underwater tidal turbine designed by Bluenergy Solutions Pte Ltd and A*STAR – Agency for Science, Technology and Research‘s Institute of High Performance Computing (IHPC) researchers, this trial aims to generate electrical power for facilities supporting Raffles Lighthouse, including staff quarters.
MPA is collaborating with Bluenergy on this project, which could have the potential to scale for other waterfront and electric vessel charging facilities.
