DACHSER Americas Bolsters Trucking Division with Seasoned Leadership

DACHSER Americas has appointed Carrie Leon as the new Department Head Trucking Americas. This decision stress the company’s commitment to advancing its domestic and international trucking services in the United States and across the Americas region.

Carrie Leon, a seasoned professional with over two decades of experience in both domestic and international road transport, brings a wealth of knowledge to her new role. Her extensive background includes key positions at Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, where she served as the Regional Director for ground transportation and the road and rail product. Notably, Leon spent 12 years at Panalpina, contributing to the logistics landscape in Charlotte, North Carolina, and Miami, Florida.

Focused Growth Strategy

In her capacity as Department Head Trucking Americas, Carrie Leon will spearhead the evolution of the existing trucking product in the Americas region. Her attention will be directed towards enhancing domestic trucking services within the United States while also nurturing the growth of international trucking, particularly the vital corridor connecting the United States and Mexico. Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, Leon will report directly to Ralph Riehl, the Managing Director Air & Sea Logistics Americas at DACHSER.

Ralph Riehl expresses confidence in the value Leon brings, stating, “With Carrie Leon, DACHSER Americas will benefit from an experienced logistics expert. Her appointment will extend our trucking footprint and our capabilities in this field even further.” Highlighting the integral role of trucking in the overall service portfolio, he adds, “Next to our offerings in air and sea freight as well as Contract Logistics, trucking is a major pillar of our service portfolio in the region.”

Seamless Transition

Carrie Leon assumes the mantle from Thorsten Schoenwetter, the outgoing Director Logistics Product for DACHSER USA, who has been steering the domestic product in the United States for the past 9 years. Schoenwetter’s transition to focusing exclusively on the further development of Contract Logistics aligns with the continuous success witnessed under his leadership.

This strategic leadership shift signals DACHSER’s dedication to navigating the dynamic logistics landscape effectively. Leon’s appointment is poised to fortify the company’s standing in the trucking domain, ensuring that DACHSER continues to provide reliable and innovative solutions to its clients across the Americas.

As DACHSER Americas gears up for this new chapter under Carrie Leon’s leadership, the logistics industry will be keenly observing the developments that unfold in the wake of this strategic appointment.
