Engicon NV (Geldof) Navigates the Mana Ito Journey!

In a remarkable feat of engineering and logistics, Engicon NV (Geldof) proudly unveils the completion of a significant project: the transportation and installation of three massive bullets, each measuring 8 meters in diameter and 45 meters in length, weighing a staggering 360 tons each. This monumental endeavor marks a milestone achievement in maritime and project freight logistics.

The journey of these colossal bullets commenced with meticulous planning and execution. After their meticulous construction, the bullets embarked on a 42-day sea voyage from Europe to the pristine shores of Hitia’a, Tahiti. Upon arrival, the intricately choreographed operation began, involving delicate maneuvers and precise handling to ensure their safe transfer from the sea to the land.

Once ashore, utilizing Self-Propelled Modular Transporters (SPMTs), the bullets navigated through narrow roads with the finesse of a skilled navigator, overcoming logistical challenges with ease. Finally, they reached their destination: the state-of-the-art Mana Ito gas terminal, where they now stand as a testament to human ingenuity and engineering prowess.

This accomplishment wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication and collaboration of numerous stakeholders. Engicon NV (Geldof) extends its gratitude to the hardworking team members who tirelessly contributed to the project’s success. The seamless coordination with skilled subcontractors, notably Sarens, ensured that safety standards were upheld throughout every phase of the operation.
