Engineered Rigging Expands Rental Fleet with Enerpac SBL500 Hydraulic Gantry

Engineered Rigging, a leading provider of heavy lifting solutions, has announced the latest addition to its rental fleet: the Enerpac SBL500 Hydraulic Gantry. This expansion aims to meet the increasing demand for versatile equipment in infrastructure projects across various industries.

The SBL500 Hydraulic Gantry, boasting a hefty 500-ton capacity, is designed to cater to a wide range of applications, including ports, railways, power plants, and industrial facilities. This addition comes in response to the growing need for specialized lifting equipment in scenarios where traditional cranes are impractical or overhead cranes are not feasible.

Featuring four legs equipped with internal three-stage double-acting hydraulic cylinders, the gantry ensures robust performance. Its octagonal boom design enhances structural integrity, while the inclusion of self-propelled steel wheels enables easy travel on skid tracks. Moreover, each lifting tower comes equipped with advanced safety features, including a counterbalance valve, stroke sensor, and pressure transducers, integrated with the Intelli-Lift Wireless Control System.

One of the standout features of the Intelli-Lift system is its ability to enable remote operation by trained technicians. This functionality allows for precise control over individual towers or synchronized operation of multiple towers, enhancing efficiency and safety on the job site. Additionally, the system offers load readings, operating height monitoring, overload alarms, and synchronized lifting and lowering capabilities.

Christopher E. Cox, P.E., the founder and president of Engineered Rigging, emphasized the company’s commitment to meeting customer needs with this latest addition. “The addition of another 500-ton hydraulic gantry to our rental fleet underscores our dedication to providing comprehensive heavy lifting solutions for our customers’ most demanding projects,” Cox stated. “With the expected surge in large infrastructure projects in 2024, we are well-prepared to support our clients with top-tier equipment rentals.”
