Estimated reading time: 2 minutes

Hansa Meyer Global has accomplished the seamless transportation of two colossal kiln tyres, each measuring 710x710x180 cm and weighing 60 metric tons. The intricacy of this project necessitated a combined transport solution, exemplifying the company’s commitment to innovative and efficient freight handling.

The journey commenced in Cividate Camuno, Italy, where the cargo embarked on a road transport leg, navigating its way to Porto Maghera, Italy. From this strategic port location, the kiln tyres were loaded onto a coaster destined for Stettin, Poland. Upon arrival in Stettin, the cargo underwent the final leg of its journey, covering approximately 500 kilometers by truck to reach its ultimate destination in Chorula, Poland.

This successful operation was made possible through the collaborative efforts of Hansa Meyer Global, the client Thyssenkupp Polysius, subcontractors, relevant authorities, and the dedicated team in Düsseldorf. The coordination and cooperation among these stakeholders ensured the smooth execution of the entire transportation process, meeting the satisfaction of all involved parties.

The complexity of handling such oversized and weighty cargo underscores the expertise and capabilities of Hansa Meyer Global in the realm of project logistics. The company’s commitment to delivering reliable and tailored solutions was evident throughout the operation, from the initial planning stages to the final delivery.
