Hanwha Ocean, a leader in green maritime technologies, Amogy, provider of efficient ammonia-to-power solutions, and Hanwha Aerospace, renowned for durable hydrogen fuel cell systems, have forged a strategic partnership aimed at accelerating the decarbonization of the maritime industry.

This alliance marks a pivotal step in combating carbon emissions within the maritime sector, leveraging Amogy’s zero-emission ammonia-to-power technology for ammonia-powered vessels. The agreement entails Hanwha Ocean’s procurement of Amogy’s ammonia-to-electrical power system, integrated with Hanwha Aerospace’s hydrogen fuel cell system, signaling a concerted effort to drive industry-wide transformation towards sustainability.

Seonghoon Woo, CEO at Amogy, expressed optimism about the partnership, emphasizing the role of innovation in addressing environmental challenges. Woo stated, “Our collaboration with Hanwha Ocean and Hanwha Aerospace exemplifies our shared commitment to leveraging innovation for environmental stewardship.
