Athens-based Harbor Lab has proudly announced the acquisition of two innovative maritime software products, SOFeXchange and DEMeXchange, from Osiris Ltd.
These strategic acquisitions mark a significant step towards the digital transformation of ‘last mile’ processes within the maritime sector, promising increased efficiency and precision. Harbor Lab intends to integrate these technologies into its existing software, presenting a more comprehensive and streamlined solution.
SOFeXchange, a digital Statement of Facts (SoF) provider, is poised to revolutionize and standardize the creation of SoF documents. The software offers real-time insights into port events, introduces Smart Laytime EventsTM for all cargo types, and simplifies document handling, including LOPs, NORs, and B/L. This addition ensures a more efficient and standardized process for creating and managing SoF documents.
DEMeXchange, a digital demurrage calculation tool, complements SOFeXchange by providing features such as the direct import of information from SOFeXchange, swift demurrage and despatch calculations based on Charter Party demurrage terms, and the streamlined creation of claims packs. Together, these tools are set to significantly enhance the demurrage calculation process, reducing manual efforts and minimizing errors.
