Jan Den Nul and Hellenic Cables Win Contract for Denmark’s Largest OWF Cable Systems

Jan Den Nul and Hellenic Cables have been awarded by RWE to deliver the export and inter-array cable systems for Denmark’s largest offshore wind farm, Thor.

Hellenic Cables will manufacture the cables, and JDN will transport and install 86 km of export cables and 200 km of inter-array cables using their Cable Laying Vessel Connector and Swordfish, a remotely operated deep-sea trencher.

The wind farm, located off the northwestern coast of Jylland, will provide renewable energy to around one million Danish households once operational.
